Canadian Syllabics
- Most importantly, in my opinion, is the difference is stem thicknesses between finals (superscripted syllabic characters) and full size characters. In the regular Sans font, this difference causes the page to look unbalanced: some sections jump out while others fade back. In the bold font, this is a very serious problem indeed.
- ᖑ (U+1591) and ᙳ (U+1673) are overkerned (probably)
- the word space is a bit thin for syllabics
- Triangualar glyphs look bad in Bold and Bold Oblique
- ᕙ and ᕝ look slanted
- There are problems with printing some characters (like ᖄ)
- when printed with OO.o, result is bad with some printers (Brother 6050DN, HP Deskjet 815C) -
probably bug with generation of embedded Type42 font - after editing type42 font created by OO.o, gv displays the glyph correctly, HP Deskjet 815C also prints it correctly
- workaround: after replacing line "%*TTRasterizer: Type42" by "*TTRasterizer: None" in file /etc/cups/ppd/<printer>.ppd OO.o generates Type3 fonts instead of Type42
- workaround 2: do not use broken printers
- this problem was fixed in gs-gpl, but not in gs-esp
- when printed with OO.o, result is bad with some printers (Brother 6050DN, HP Deskjet 815C) -

- Stem/stroke width should be fixed to match lowercase glyphs (Bold & Bold Oblique)
